Brian Trainor (L) and Ian Wallace

Wallace and Trainor have joined together to compose and record a fresh, innovative jazz-rock CD with a progressive rock "feel." Rehearsed and recorded in Santa Fe, New Mexico at AMS Santa Fe during the summer and fall of 1997 with jazz great Steve Marcus, Wallace and Trainor have written inventive, strong melodies and backed them with inspired playing and soloing. Engineered by Glenn Harvitz, this is a must for any jazz-rock collection.
Featured on this CD is an arrangement of a combination of two wildly diverse songs: "21st Century Schizoid Man", by King Crimson, and "Evidence", by Thelonius Monk, and the combined composition is called "Evidoid Suite". Arranged by Ian Wallace, the track features alto sax by one of the founding members of King Crimson and a composer of "21st Century Schizoid Man", Ian McDonald. McDonald recreates his sax lines in the original song, and then adds a jazzy alto solo to Wallace's spirited arrangement. A must for all Crimson fans.
