I've had this DVD for years, but only recently upgraded my system to 5.1. It was worth the trouble, and this DVD was one of the reasons I decided to upgrade my system. I can't say anything bad about this DVD except that its menuing is a bit annoying, but I guess nothing is perfect. The performances are well worth your money if you're a Crim fan. Although I like the Eyes Wide Open DVD, it doesn't come close to this DVD in terms of a gratifying sonic experience. My wife and I listen to Deja VROOOM over and over and never get tired of it.

From of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on .

I love this line up, I wish a could have seen them live but this is the next best thing. Two guitars, two bass, and two drummers make for a unique and wonderful Crimson concert experience. All of the bonus stuff is a nice feature. Video and audio quality are excellent on my home system, and I do not have a fancy setup. Ignore the ramblings of the review below, I also tried the DVD on our PS2 and it played fine. What does a decent new DVD player cost these days... $75.00? Invest in a new DVD player and leave the games to your playstation.
My recommendation to those wondering if this is worth it: Dont hesitate to grab a copy of an excellent show from this short lived lineup!

This is just about the worst DVD ever!
Let it be known that I love the other two KC DVD releases, Neal & Jack & Me and Eyes Wide Open... but this... what is this? Confusing DVD controls with a cursor that moves where ever it wants, when ever it wants (in my PS2 anyways... maybe it's easier with a regular DVD player). Audio options to choose between surround sound and surround sound? WTF!? No matter what audio option I choose, my DVD player is sending signals to speakers that simply aren't there to receive them! I can't hear Tony Levin AT ALL! If I wanted to not hear Tony Levin, I'd pop in Eyes Wide Open. I bought this 'cause I wanted to see the double trio!
And the 21st Century Schizoid Band thing is such a cool concept. I really did wanna hear the double trio backing Greg Lake singing with David Cross soloing... little did I realize that it's a radio edit of 21st Century Schizoid Man with all the meat of the song removed, like a steak sandwich without the steak, or like Ozzy's recent sub-par cover of the song on his sub-par cover album, Under Cover. (Don't buy it, it's clearly sub-par.)
Stupid DVD.... don't buy it. Unless you have a surround sound entertainment system. Don't people only ever get that stuff by winning game shows? I've never won a game show, so I guess I can't enjoy this DVD.
In the future, DVD programmers should keep us regular people with modest TV's and PS2's instead of real DVD players in mind.

Positive Rating Positive Rating Positive Rating Positive Rating Positive Rating Excellent DVD of '90's Era Crim
From of Temple Terrace, Florida on .

A very nice DVD if you are into the '90's Crim. One of the best parts is the multi-angle shots of certain songs... as well as that particular instrument up front in the mix. If someone there is listening... I have this DVD, "Eyes Wide Open", and "Neal and Jack and Me" is on the way and I have not been disappointed yet, but I would drive there in person to pick up a DVD of the 72 - 74 version of the band. PLEASE!!! Make this dream of mine come true!!
