Europe '74
From Craig H. Eyler of Bellevue, Washington on .
Anything/everything from the Europe '74 tour is worth having for one reason or another. I haven't seen a tour itinerary but let's hope many more are available/forthcoming. Haven't missed a release yet and have yet to be disappointed. Seems as though the American tour was not as well documented but perhaps DGM feel that the public would find it less desirable? Either way, more from Europe '74 please.
Best live versions of Great Deceiver and Dr. Diamond!
From Arturs Kalnins of Ithaca, New York on .
The rest of the set ain't bad either...
Grab ALL the releases from this time
From Jerry Smith of Tacoma, Washington on .
This one is as important in any KC collection as the rest of the shows on this tour. A very good companion piece to the rest all of which are highly recommended to any fan.
Another Stunner
From Captain Video of Wallingford, Connecticut on .
As mentioned in my previous postings, I cannot get enough of this lineup. I put this on my Ipod and worked out at the gym for two weeks straight listening to this and a couple of the DGMlive downloads from the same era. Fierce and soothing, raw and polished....what more can I say??? Essential listening. Please give us more......
Edgey, Sharp & Blood Curdling.
From Andrew Mather of LANCASHIRE, England on .
Exciting, powerful and assertive! And that's John Wetton for starters. This concert really illustrates why RF was stuck by this band's power and what it was and may be capable of. At Kassel the menace it could unleash is immediatley apparent on The Great Deceiver, its worth the purchase on its own ! Well Done dgmlive another fantastic addition the KC collection.
WHOA! INCREDIBLE
From J Tharp of Louisville, Kentucky on .
One of the best club releases yet. Excellent sound quality and a fierce performance. "Easy Money" is especially good. You will want to hear this over and over.
Incredibly tight
From Jorge Souto of Valladolid, Spain on .
This is one of the tightest performances from this line-up. Trying to make individual comments, either about the band members or about the pieces played, is simply pointless. It's the (in)complete show that comes through as a mesmerizing experience. I wish I had been old enough to watch these guys live. We need a time machine here...
What a blinder!
From shostakovich1 of Copenhagen, Denmark on .
From what we've heard so far, it seems as if the German leg of this tour marked a creative peak for this particular KC unit. This snapshot is the best yet - with each of the band members firing on all cylinders. Both the sound and mix are first-rate. Really a "must have" for fans of this lineup. Dare we hope for more??
JUST UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
From ANDY G of MIAMI, Florida on .
So far I'm halfway through...and this might be the greatest live recording by ANY band EVER!!!
King Crimson are now and have always been my favorite band ever...so maybe I'm not being objective.
Just buy this...it's incredible...
